You be my sunny day...
You be my sugar, baby
I'll be your sweet iced tea
You be my honeysuckle
I'll be your honey bee
1. Outside.
Daily. Getting our fitness and fresh air on for free!!!
2. Open up our home+Bagna Cauda Parrttayy.
I have like a zillion people who I have been wanting to feed and invite over. Most of the time I talk myself out of it because... life is busy. my house isn't perfectly clean and organized. the walls are still bare from our move in February and awaiting to be perfectly "Pinterestized". our backyard is pure dirt and in need of landscaping. maybe they will be offended by our obnoxious beagles..ok no maybe about it ;). Pshhh-be gone Pinterest! I have decided it's time to get it together because we are actually the ones missing out by not opening up our home and spending time with others. Because really... people just want to connect. Most people don't care about the house itself, they care about being invited and spending time in a place where they feel like they are welcome and wanted.
3. Read.
I finally get to replace Chaucer and Charlotte Bronte with some of my own reading choices. Here are my summer five...
4. Road trip.
Hoping to take a road trip adventure. Spend some quality away time with my boys.
5. Camping.
Camping is my favorite. Especially smores and snuggling my man by a campfire under the stars.
6. Tahoe. Tahoe. Tahoe.
My happiest place on earth! Planning on spending loads of time here paddleboarding with Jay, splashing with G and eating lots of homemade lunches.
7. Naptime quiet times and Bible study.
The must of my summer days is being consistent with getting into God's word and equipping myself with His truth. Commit to and complete women's summer Bible study- woo hoo!
We are going to be reading this amazing book in case you want to check it out...
8. Re-institute weekly date night.
Send Minky for some quality grandparent time. Plan picnic under the stars. Plan outdoor adventures. Try to refrain from falling asleep during our movie nights.
9. Chop hair.
Be brave and change it up with a new haircut.
10. Eat at home.
Cook more..eat out less. Embrace new recipes! Farmer's markets. Lots of BBQ, fresh veggies and fruits. Master sauerkraut recipe. Stop frequenting Starbucks (as often)-really I am addicted and I spend way too much money at this darn place.
Mama Monday will be back next week!
Here's to a great summer!!!
:)
