{plane takes off. Papa,Nonni,K2 and K3 are on board too...}
J: Babe. I think you can stop Lysol wiping everything now.
K: But I can just feel the germs on this thing.
{I'm nursing G...}
J: Katy!!! Cover yourself up!!!
Do you want the entire plane to see your goods?!!!
K: G keeps slapping the cover off me! Besides didn't Obama pass some sort
of law allowing me to nurse in public?!
{ concerned adorable husband creates a curtain to cover me ...}
J: Do you smell that?!
K: Ohhh not already. G did you poop?!!!
He pooped.
J: Not it.
K: Let me just change him right here.
J: Do you want to get kicked off the plane?!
...
grab a diaper and wipes...
wait for flight attendant to pass through aisle with drink cart...
trying to make eye contact with my mom so that I can talk her into the diaper change...
no luck...
J and man at the end of aisle get up and let me out...
man is irritated...
people are starring...
I smile as I head to the back of the plane with little stink-a-mink...
wait in line for the one bathroom with a changing table...
realize I forgot my Lysol wipes and changing pad...
take my sweatshirt off and change G on it...
tell myself I am the diaper changing ninja...
G touches everything in sight...
I am trying not to panic over the multitude of germs in this confined space...
go to put pants back on G and discover it was a diaper blow out...
walk back to my seat with a pantless G and his poopy pants...
people are still staring...
irritated man and J get up and let me back into my seat...
feed G a snack...
J: Do you smell that?!
K: No way. I just changed him.
we look at each other and laugh...
man at end of aisle is not amused...
reminding myself that I am the bathroom plane changing ninja...
smile at irritated man...
do it all over again...
get back to my seat...
G eats a few more snacks...
read G Llama Llama and sing him the G-G-G- song...
he falls asleep in my arms...
smooch my husband and catchup on a movie we've been dying to see...
think about how in love I am with these two...
Kauai here we come to celebrate Nonni's birthday....
Thank you Papa and Nonni for an amazing trip!!!
We love you so much and cherish our time spent together.
Happy Birthday Mama!!!
I could not ask for a more amazing mom...
your love and support means the world to me.
I love that you are constantly challenging me to be a
better person, to stand up for what's right and to refuse
to settle for anything less. Sorry it only took me 20+ years
to realize you were for me and that I couldn't possibly be who I am
today without you!
And love you too Papa, K2 and K3!
Loved laughing my head of with you!!!
How dull our life would be without y'all!!!!
