Update!

 

Hi!!!

 

 I figured it was time to update this little space of mine. I quit the internet at the beginning of this year!

 

It felt good to unplug and take a break from my constant blog-stalking of that one mom who I've never met in my life who is always dressed to the Anthro nines with her effortless beach tousled bob and that ETSYfied immaculate living room who can be found traveling the world or roaming the streets of the most fascinating cities with her perfectly behaved gluten-free children in tow... or so it appears.

 

The thing is... those little glimpses look real glamorous when I have pushed the dry shampoo to the limit and my floors are covered in squashed banana slices, mud and beagle fur. Not to mention Dave Ramsey's seven steps have setup permanent camp which adds a whole new level of guilt and stress when one comes across a Marshall's jackpot and frivolous spending just happens to kick in.

 

My point... it was good to unplug!  Did lots of thinking in the quiet. Re-prioritizing. I needed to shut off the distractions and remind myself that I am actually the one living the life. Ain't nobody got time for the comparison game. I lose every single time. I definitely face first-world problems that weigh heavy on my heart, but I am so blessed and grateful for this life God has given me and the people he has entrusted me with. I get to pour into these spunky littles daily and do life with my favorite guy in the world. It's a full life.

 

And now for a brief update+photo dump!

 

We just celebrated the boys' birthdays! Greyson turned 3 and Declan turned 1! They melt us. Minky is funnier than ever before. He is just on point with the entertainment. He has been asking lots of deep theological questions.

Such as...

"Mama...So does Jesus have a pee pee?"

and...

"Why is Adam aww-ways nakey? He willy needs to put him clothes on!"

 

I die over the things he says. He tells us he is busy with stuff like frowing da ball and doing yots of work but he never fails to stop and ask to be cuddled or held. We definitely have our challenging three year old days but he is worth every.single.Target.tantrum. ;)

 

I am having a hard time accepting that my Declan Baby (aka Bubba, Bubs and Bubby) is well on his way to the world of all things toddler. He is spunky and sweet and we all just want to smoosh his little face and eat him up. He LOVES to eat. He is mama's boy fo sho. I am happy to report that just recently Grey has dubbed Bubba his official wing-man. Praise Jesus! I was worried that day would never come. Best little buddies in the making.

 

Jay and I are coming up for air and it feels good. We've been getting our datenights on and scheming over summer plans.. Tough Mudder (eeks) and lots of camping ahead. C'mon summer!!!
