2014.

Embarking on the journey of another year? I can't believe it. I loved this year. The absolute highlight was a mid April afternoon when our Declan swept us away with his sweet presence. He is a gem. He knows how to light up a room with his gummy smile while his adored big brother delivers the noise and entertainment. Greyson's bright blue eyes discovering the wonder of Christmas wrapped up this year and left my mama heart full. He fell in love with the story of Jesus' birth and would tell it enthusiastically to any listening ear. Talking way too fast, eyes wide, stuttering, saying something along the lines of... Jesus was in Mary's tummy. He was borned. Mary put Him in dat manger. Da wisemen comed. Wots of donkeys were dere. Jesus comed to save us. These two are our heart... forever.

It was a major growing year for me. It hurt and parts were ugly... but many vital lessons learned. Blindsiding lessons which demanded me to take my eyes off of myself. Perspective slapped me hard in the face this year...over and over. Accompanied by some fist shaking and serious cursing by yours truly. But God was so present.  Reminding me of His constant love and goodness. Never changing. Never ending. The same yesterday, today and tomorrow. In a world that is so confusing and unsteady this Truth continues to pull me along as He whispers I am here.

I am looking forward to 2015! Chasing after days that are rich in love. Time spent dwelling on whatever is true, honorable and lovely. Excited for a fresh start!
