We awoke to a fresh blanket of snow this morning...
And this is Jay.
He's declaring a snow war on me and my third trimester craaazy!
It's just been one of those weeks.
I'd like to blame it all on my hormone fluctuation,
swollen feet and ice cream consumption (gold medal ribbon to be exact).
ain't happening!
So we were sure to hash out the crazy over a few snowballs
and a bowl of macaroni and cheese.
As my day continued I was so reminded of how my mission
starts with reaching him...first!
Respecting and loving him before I reach out to anyone else...
including our son. And that is easier said than done.
I could mother with the best of the best and be the most loyal friend...
but if I am a contentious wife busy giving my all to others and saving
the leftovers for my spouse ... I have FAILED.
Today was just one of those days where I so needed to recognize that.
Tomorrow is thankfully a new day where I can choose
to clothe myself in love, humility and grace.
Through it all I am grateful to serve a God who has
new mercy for me everyday...
