Tell us about yourself…
I’m a wife and a mom and a stepmonster and a nurse and a blogger. I love people and the Internet, so the introvert in me is happy that those two things mix very well.

Husband love…
I’ve been married five years and we’ve got a blended brood of six. He’s my rock and my leader and the only person in this world who can make me laugh and call me out on my sin, at the same time. He loves me so well, and he constantly renews my faith in relationships.

Mama love…
They’re ages fourteen down to six months, and they keep me on my toes. I’ve got three girls and three boys. Follow me on Instagram (@rachkincaid) for their shenanigans. There are a lot of those.

Mama advice for surviving the tough days…
Iced coffee and making my bed, for sure. Also, it helps SO MUCH to say things out loud. This morning is hard. I need five minutes. May I take a bubble bath tonight instead of sitting with you in front of the TV? Will you please turn off the video game and help me set the table? I’m always surprised at how supportive my family is. But I shouldn’t be. My people are pretty amazing.

Health and fitness…
I don’t have time to work out at this point in my life, and I’m okay with that.  Eventually, I’d like to try yoga. I don’t think you’ll ever see me tweeting about falling in love with running. Ain’t gonna happen. But I do place clean eating at the top of my family’s priority list, and I’ve been surprised at how easy it is to keep that in check. Just keep the junk in the drive-thru and out of your house, and your kids will never notice the difference. We’ll grab a milkshake after you finish your quinoa.

Good read…
I’m currently reading Girls With Swords and Bread & Wine, and I love them both.

Beauty secret…
Vaseline on the brows, all day and all night.

Closing words…
Motherhood has never come naturally to me, and still I do it. To a lot of kids. I love staying vulnerable about it, because that’s where I learn to receive the most grace and grab hold of lessons learned from other women. We don’t have to be the best at everything. We just have to remember our calling and keep at it.
