Date Night

Thursday, November 29, 2012

Date nights are vital I tell ya.
I don't care what the date necessarily entails...
as long as I get to spend alone time with my man preferably with
some food involved ;).
This is a picture from our date night a few days ago.
We are standing in front of Gourmelt (a local grilled cheese truck).

It went a little something like this...
{driving in the car...}

K: OMG!!! It's the grilled cheese truck!! We must pull over NOW!!!!

J: Grilled cheese truck???

K: Ohh I just love their sweet potato fries!!!

J: So are you saying that you want to stop and eat there for dinner?

K: Babe! You will just love their grilled cheese... they have so many
different kinds last time I had one with brie and honey on it and did you know that their bread is from that place down the street from our house and I think I am going to get the
one that has artichoke hearts on it this time or maybe you should get
that one and I'll get the buffalo chicken one and we can share...

At this point J is giving K that look of his that says...

You are so totally nuts over food. This is unbelievable to me. You are like
1,000,000 pounds at heart but gosh I love it because how boring would it be if I was married to one of those salad eating only types...

J: I take it we are stopping at the grilled cheese truck. How do you
even know about this food truck?

K: Well you know how you love to workout? And how it has entailed hours
of you planning, researching and educating yourself before putting it into practice?
Well it's the same for me.

Except...
Just replace your burpees with my grilled cheese sandwich.
Ya get the picture?!

J: And that's why we are so perfect for each other!

K: Exactly!

{and we laughed our heads off}

Why do I share this quirky little story with you??

Because these are the moments that I live for.
These are the moments that remind me of how important
it is to make it a priority to have FUN with my man.

Life can get way too serious!

Our life has taken on a whole new beautiful meaning since our
little Minky has blessed us with his presence... and I believe
making it a priority to cherish and strengthen our marriage is one of the greatest
gifts we can give our son and each other (obviously)!!!

So friends....
Why don't ya get out and get your date night on!
;)
