What I Think at 5 Months in...

 

So I am a whole 5 months into this beautiful new journey of mine.

 

I have learned something that I hope to never

lose sight of...

 

I desire to be a mom who cherishes and celebrates

my child just where he is at.

 

Now that I am fully immersed in the mama world, I can see how easy

it can be to get caught up in the...

 

Is your child doing (fill in the blank) yet???

 

I am not on the accelertaed track for raising my child.

I think it's for the birds.

I do not like the pressure that this mindset creates for the mother and child.

 

It bothers me when I see a loving and hardworking mom 

question herself and her abilities to mother because of this pesky focus.

 

With all that said,

 

my days may feel long at times...

but I know that my years are short.

 

So what is the hurry??!

 

I want to slow the heck down

turn off the noise

 and enjoy my sweet Grey just where he is at now.

 

I may not have it all figured out,

but I think we are off to a great start.

and...I am so in love with this little face.
